It is a thing I did not think upon before, but after a time of travel, I have learned that your name is your most precious thing. When people have your name, they have more of you than you'd like them to, and sometimes, your name can lead to much more trouble than you'd hope. And so, to give the poor fellow a name, or at least to let anyone reading know his name, would be giving him more ill luck.
